How to Make a Real Estate Virtual Tour Without a 360 Camera
You don't need a 360 camera to give buyers a tour. Here are the four practical options, what each costs, and when to use which.

In short
To make a virtual tour without a 360 camera, either capture the home with a phone app such as Matterport or Zillow 3D Home, stitch guided phone photos into 360° views with an app such as Pedra, or skip the site visit and render a furnished 360° walkthrough from the floor plan in Yavay Studio. If buyers only need motion, a listing video made from photos is faster still.
Four ways to do it
1. Capture with a phone app
Matterport's app captures a tour with just a smartphone on iOS or Android, with a LiDAR scan option on phones that have it. Zillow 3D Home is free and makes a virtual tour from a phone alone (its interactive floor plan needs a supported 360 camera). You walk the home and capture from spots in each room.
Good: Shows the home as it is; free or low cost to start.
Watch for: Someone must be on site; phone-only captures are less complete than camera captures, and Matterport hosting beyond one space needs a paid plan (from $108/mo).
2. Stitch phone photos into 360° views
Apps such as Pedra have you stand in the middle of each room and take about 8 guided photos, then stitch them into a 360° view and use AI to fill the ceiling and floor.
Good: Real rooms, no special hardware, quick per room.
Watch for: Still needs a site visit; AI-filled areas can look soft.
3. Render the tour from the floor plan
Yavay Studio turns the listing's floor plan into a furnished, photoreal 360° view in every room, shared on one link with a 3D floor plan. Upload the floor plan image (Studio traces the walls at the printed dimensions) or draw the rooms.
Good: No camera and no site visit; works before a home is built or finished; furnished by default.
Watch for: It is a rendering of the plan, not a record of the home as it is, so label it like virtual staging.
4. Make a listing video from photos
Not a tour, but often what agents actually need for social and email: a short clip with motion through the listing photos you already have.
Good: Fast, uses existing photos, made for Reels and TikTok.
Watch for: Buyers can't choose where to look or move between rooms.

How to render a tour from the floor plan
- 1Upload the floor plan
Use the listing's floor plan image; Studio traces the walls and scales them to the printed dimensions. Or draw the rooms.
- 2Furnish and finish
Add furniture from the catalog and choose floors, walls and cabinetry.
- 3Render
Studio renders a photoreal 360° view in each room; a four-room home takes about three minutes.
- 4Share
Send one link with the 360° views and a 3D floor plan, or embed it on your site.

Frequently asked questions
Can you make a virtual tour without a 360 camera?
Yes. You can capture one with a phone app (Matterport or Zillow 3D Home), stitch guided phone photos into 360° views, or render a walkthrough from the floor plan in Yavay Studio with no camera at all.
Can I make a 3D tour with my iPhone?
Yes. Matterport's app supports iPhone capture, including a LiDAR scan on iPhones that have it, and Zillow 3D Home makes a virtual tour from a phone alone. Yavay's iPhone scan capture is in early access.
What is the cheapest way to make a real estate virtual tour?
Zillow 3D Home is free with no per-home or hosting fees if you can visit the home. If you can't, a floor-plan walkthrough in Yavay Studio needs no hardware and is included in Studio Pro at $48 a month. Prices as listed in October 2026.
Is a rendered tour allowed on the MLS?
Rules vary by MLS. Treat a rendered walkthrough like virtual staging: disclose that it is a rendering of the floor plan, and keep real photos of the home in the listing.
How long does a floor-plan walkthrough take?
Once the plan is in Studio, rendering takes about three minutes for a four-room home.
